Classifying complexes with a static separation zone (KS) are applied to obtain fine dispersed powders of a specified fractional composition in the size range from 60 to 400µm.

 The size of separation products is controlled both by the turning angle of the classifier blades which spin the air and by way of changing the amount of the air flow.

 The operation of classifiers demonstrated:

   high efficiency,

   performance reliability,

   easy servicing,

  high quality separation.

Classifying complexes of this type are used to obtain different fine-dispersed powdery materials.

 Some fields of application:

 •          obtaining of high grade cements;

•            pigments for paints;

•            fillers;

•            fine-dispersed components of dry building mixes;

•            admixtures to cement based on slag.

The operation of the classifiers for a number of years has demonstrated their high efficiency, performance reliability and easy servicing.

Separation of the material takes place on account of the interaction of the centrifugal force and the force of aerodynamic resistance wherein the particle is involved. Traveling through the tangentially installed blades, dust and gas flow curves. Coarse particles under the action of centrifugal forces are flung to the classifier’s periphery and then they descend along the walls, whereas small ones are entrained by the air flow from the classifier and then they settle in cyclones.

 Separation products’ size control is carried out by changing the angle of rotating blades as well as by changing the amount of the air flow.

 Classifiers of this type are applied both as individual classifying complexes and in combination with the mills to grind ore materials and non-metallic materials.
