Air-centrifugal classifiers KC with a dynamic separating zone are used to obtain fine powders of a specified fractional composition in the size-range between 5 and 80 µm.

Classifiers of this type are applied to obtain high quality fillers, pigments, high grade cements, microtalc and other materials.

Control over the separation products’ size is carried out by varying the accelerating rotor speed as well as by changing the amount of the air flow.

The operation of classifiers showed:

 - high accuracy of separation

  - reliability in operation 

  - easy maintenance

  - high quality performance of finished products.

Classifying complexes KC have no need for complicated service maintenance, actual operating factor amounts to 0,9.

Classifying complexes KC are a consecutive technological system of classification based on modular machines which provide high performance,  ease of operation, small required space and low power intensity.

Classifying complexes of this type are used to obtain different fine-dispersed powdery materials.

 Some fields of application:

         obtaining of high grade cements;

          pigments for paints;

           fillers;

           fine dispersed components of dry building mixes;

            admixtures to cement based on slag 













The operation of KC complexes for a number of years has demonstrated their high efficiency, performance reliability and easy servicing.

Source material enters the inlet branch pipe of the classifier in a dust-air mixture state. Then a two-phase flow travels to the classification zone where it is imparted a rotational movement by means of the acceleration rotor. 

Under the influence of a dominant centrifugal force coarse particles of the material are brought to the classification zone periphery and go down due to gravity to the coarse product collector. Particles which size is less than the borderline size are involved by the air flow into the rotor and subsequently, as a dust-air stream, are carried out from the classifier through the outlet branch pipe. After that they are trapped by the dust settling system.

Separation products’ size control is carried out by varying the accelerating rotor speed as well as by changing the amount of the primary and the secondary air flows incoming through the re-cleaning branch pipes and the secondary airflow branch pipe.

 The classifier’s design provides for both the open-cycle and closed-cycle operation referring the air, and in so doing with the closed-cycle it is possible to use inert gases as a working environment in the separation of explosive powders.

 Particles which size is less than the borderline size are involved by the air flow into the rotor. The secondary air flow incoming the classifier through the branch pipe keeps the walls of volute from the entry of fine particles of the material. It also favours their carrying out into the rotor. 

 Small particles are carried out of the classifier through the outlet branch pipe in the upper part of the rotor.Then they make their way for cycloning, so that to be deposited and discharged.
