KG classifying complexes  separate and classify powdered, coarse materials by sizes or density.

They make it possible to separate materials into the required number of fractions with the specified granulometric compositions.

KG complexes are effective in the manufacture of finely broken stone of the specified size modulus, building sands, mineral fillers of abrasive powders from the screenings of crushing.

The size range of the obtained products is from 0,16 to 5,0 mm.

KG classifiers are a technologically sequential system to sort materials which is  noteworthy for:

*   high quality of obtained products,

*   ease of operation,

*   low power intensity,

*   operational reliability.

Accuracy of particle separation runs to 95%.

In the equipment design there has been implemented a cascade separation system wherein the classification process is of iterated nature, with a consequent high accuracy of particle separation by density or size in the air flow.

There is an essential feature: the absence of mechanical sieving units and screens. The sorting of materials takes place exclusively by the air flows and multiple doubling of sections and chambers of the classifier.

The complexes have no need for complicated service maintenance. The units are free from a lubrication system and wear parts and due to this utilization factor of the complex amounts to 0,95.

At the present time the complexes are applied to classify and manufacture the following materials:

KG classifying complexes are applied to process screenings of crushing at grinding-sorting works, to obtain graded building sands, broken stone of fine grain, mineral fillers. They are made full use of in the industry for dry building mixes production, concentrating industry, etc.


By application of these complexes it’s possible to obtain simultaneously up to 4 products in the size range between 0,16 and 5,0 mm.

The application of classifiers in the production lines for the separation of screenings makes it possible to set up the non-waste production of broken stone at the gravel-crushed stone production sites.

Fractionation process in air cascade gravity classifiers is conditioned by the interaction of aerodynamic resistance force the particle experiences from the side of the air flow and gravity force. As a consequence, large or heavy particles fall down and fine or light particles raise up and then settle in the successive section or in cyclones.

 In the apparatus construction there has been realized a cascade separation scheme. Classification process is that of iterative nature allowing a high accuracy of separation to be attained. There also has been implemented a possibility to carry out separation products size control just in operation without a stop in manufacture.

Source product enters the charging hopper of the classifier and is fed into shaft I where it undergoes a primary classification in the upward air flow: separation of coarse (heavy) particles which settle and are discharged through the gate in the lower part of the shaft.


Smaller fractions go up and flow into shaft II where the process of particle separation by a specified size range (density) takes place, too: medium-sized product goes down into the lower part of shaft II and then it is discharged through the gate; fine product flies out through the upper branch pipe of the classifier along with the air into the deposition and aspiration system.

 Air cascade-gravity classifiers KG operate in a closed circuit: from the deposition system the air returns to the classifier and partially is discharged into the atmosphere after having been purified in the aspiration system.
