The sedimentation crew-conveyor centrifuge is mainly intended for the separation of suspensions with an insoluble solid phase. It is applied to treat asbestos fiber, aluminium bromide, crystals of calcium sulfate dihydrate, diatomite, graphitized carbon dust, gypsum colloids, carbamide, molybdenum acid, sodium sulfate, chalk stone, potash (potassium carbonate), starch, polyvinyl chloride, sodium carbonate and other materials.

The centrifuge in question is designed to separate suspensions with solid phase of small and medium concentration at particle size exceeding 5 µm and the difference in density between the solid and liquid phases of more than 20 kg/m3.

The parts of the centrifuge contacting the processed product are made of corrosion-resistant steel. Provision is made for the protection of the screw conveyor and the rotor against the abrasive wear.

The centrifuge differs from currently available equipment by the drive in which gear belt transmissions are used instead of planet gear. The centrifuge is easy to operate and repair. 

Sedimentation scroll-discharge (screw-conveyor) continuous centrifuge is mainly designed to separate suspensions with an insoluble solid phase.

The process conditions in the centrifuge are controlled by change of suspension rate, rotor speed and the diameter of a tailboard.
